8th grade--It has been such a busy week continuing with our Marsbound unit with exciting engineering and STEM challenges!

Monday--We had a special treat getting to hear from NASA Space Historian Andrew Chaikin! He talked to students about the challenges ahead for human exploration of Mars. He inspired students to be the next generation of space explorers!

Tuesday-- Target Landing Challenge

Wednesday--1st & Second periods were able to have a Q & A session with Mr. Chaikin, and begin their Payload Protection Challenge.

Thursday--Complete Wednesday's challenge

Friday-- Start Wind Powered Mars Rover Prototype challenge

7th grade-- Students are finishing up their helmet design prototype and testing of the helmet.

Monday--Guest Speaker Andrew Chaikin

Tuesday & Wednesday--Finalize helmet designs; plan for testing

Thursday--hearing & vision screening

Friday--Helmet testing!!
